Three ways to nurture your prospects to increase B2B sales

You have a great product or service and you know can help your ideal prospect. You know if they just committed to the purchase that they would see great results and most likely refer you to their friends and work colleagues.


BUT every time you speak with a new prospect, they hit you with a, “let me think about” OR, ‘I need to speak with my partner”.


You both know that they don’t need to think about it and that a lack of trust is the real reason they didn’t move forward (of course they will never tell that!).


In this article, I’m going to share 3 quick ways that you can bridge the gap between stranger and trusted advisor.


1. Use a warmup sequence:

For the most part, prospects will book the appointment 2 or 3 days into the future, and this is prime time to begin your nurture sequence.


At RooCru we use a booking system called Calendly which allows us to add workflows so that we can start sending nurture emails prior to the call (this will also increase your show rate).


We send emails with testimonials, case studies, explainer videos, data and statistics. The goal here is to answer your prospects' questions prior to them getting on a call with you.


This in turn allows us to spend less time talking about our business and more time understanding how we can help the client and the goals they are trying to achieve.


2. Standardise your follow up process:

It’s very common for your prospects to ask for more information at the end of the call (even if you’ve sent them good content in your nurture sequence). We suggest using sales aids like Pandadoc to send documents quickly and efficiently. At this point you should have given the prospect as much information as they possibly need to make a decision.


3. Forever emails:

Conversion rates tend to be around 10% for high ticket services which means 90% of your booked appointments will not proceed with your solution.


Just because something is not right for them today, doesn’t not mean they won’t need your services in 6 - 12 months.


This is the time to send value-based content so that when they’re ready, they will reach out to you. Typically, these leads are much warmer, and you can expect conversion rates to be around 30%.
